S.O. 576(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 1 of the Oil Fields (Regulation and Development) Act, 1948 (53 of 1948), the Central Government hereby appoints the 24th November, 1948 as the date on which the remaining provisions of the said Act shall come into force.
