STANDING ORDER

To

All Waqf Officers,

Subject: The administration of a temple by executives officer of a temple under the Uttar Pradesh Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Act, 1983, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Act, 1983 (Uttar Pradesh Act 29 of 1983), the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the administration of a temple by executives officer of a temple.

2. The matter has been examined. Every executive officer of a temple carrying on the administration of a temple shall make an application in Form G to the Deputy Charity Commissioner within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Waqf Officer shall ensure that audit report is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Deputy Charity Commissioner within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
