STANDING ORDER

All Survey Commissioners,

Subject: The running of a pilgrim lodge by operators of a pilgrim lodge under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960 (Karnataka Act 17 of 1960), the Revenue Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a pilgrim lodge by operators of a pilgrim lodge.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a pilgrim lodge carrying on the running of a pilgrim lodge shall make an application in Form E to the Government of Karnataka within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Survey Commissioner shall ensure that account is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Karnataka within one hundred and eighty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Karnataka.
