STANDING ORDER
To
All Deputy Tahsildars,
Subject: The occupation of land by occupants under the Bihar Tenancy Act, 1885, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Bihar Tenancy Act, 1885 (Bihar Act 8 of 1885), the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Bihar hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the occupation of land by occupants.
2. The matter has been examined. Every occupant carrying on the occupation of land shall make an application in Form 14 to the Tahsildar within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.
3. The Deputy Tahsildar shall ensure that register of holdings is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Tahsildar within thirty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Bihar.
