STANDING ORDER

To

All Drawing and Disbursing Officers,

Subject: Participation in procurement by bidders under the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act, 1999, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act, 1999 (Gujarat Act 11 of 1999), the Law Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to participation in procurement by bidders.

2. The matter has been examined. Every bidder carrying on participation in procurement shall make an application in Form GFR 25 to the Public Accounts Committee within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Drawing and Disbursing Officer shall ensure that bid is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Public Accounts Committee within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Gujarat.
