STANDING ORDER

All Procurement Officers,

Subject: The execution of contracts by contractors under the Maharashtra Fiscal Responsibility and Budgetary Management Act, 2005, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Fiscal Responsibility and Budgetary Management Act, 2005 (Maharashtra Act 15 of 2005), the Finance Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the execution of contracts by contractors.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor carrying on the execution of contracts shall make an application in Form GFR 41 to the Directorate of Treasuries within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Procurement Officer shall ensure that account is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Directorate of Treasuries within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Maharashtra.
