STANDING ORDER

To

All Chief Commissioners,

Subject: The employment of persons with disabilities by establishments employing persons with disabilities under the Maharashtra State Reservation for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes Act, 2018, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra State Reservation for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes Act, 2018 (Maharashtra Act 62 of 2018), the Social Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the employment of persons with disabilities by establishments employing persons with disabilities.

2. The matter has been examined. Every establishment employing persons with disabilities carrying on the employment of persons with disabilities shall make an application in Form III to the Rehabilitation Council within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Chief Commissioner shall ensure that register is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Rehabilitation Council within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra.
