STANDING ORDER
To
All Probation Officers,
Subject: The running of an old age home by keepers of an old age home under the Tamil Nadu Registration of Marriages Act, 2009, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Registration of Marriages Act, 2009 (Tamil Nadu Act 21 of 2009), the Law Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of an old age home by keepers of an old age home.
2. The matter has been examined. Every keeper of an old age home carrying on the running of an old age home shall make an application in Form VI to the Central Adoption Resource Authority within seven days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.
3. The Probation Officer shall ensure that declaration is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Central Adoption Resource Authority within seven days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
