STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Tahsildars,

Subject: The holding of land assessed to revenue by holders of land under the Punjab Security of Land Tenures Act, 1953, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Punjab Security of Land Tenures Act, 1953 (Punjab Act 10 of 1953), the General Administration Department, Government of Punjab hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of land assessed to revenue by holders of land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of land carrying on the holding of land assessed to revenue shall make an application in Form 8 to the Board of Revenue within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. The Deputy Tahsildar shall ensure that survey number is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Board of Revenue within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Punjab.
