STANDING ORDER

To

All Court Officers,

Subject: The taking of evidence on commission by commissioners appointed by the court under the Uttar Pradesh Civil Laws (Reforms and Amendment) Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Civil Laws (Reforms and Amendment) Act, 1954 (Uttar Pradesh Act 24 of 1954), the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the taking of evidence on commission by commissioners appointed by the court.

2. The matter has been examined. Every commissioner appointed by the court carrying on the taking of evidence on commission shall make an application in Form E to the Taxing Officer within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Court Officer shall ensure that deposition is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Taxing Officer within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
