STANDING ORDER
To
All Registrars,
Subject: The imparting of education through open learning by operators of an open school under the Maharashtra Universities Act, 2016, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Universities Act, 2016 (Maharashtra Act 6 of 2016), the Education Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the imparting of education through open learning by operators of an open school.
2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of an open school carrying on the imparting of education through open learning shall make an application in Form A to the School Tribunal within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.
3. The Registrar shall ensure that textbook is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the School Tribunal within one hundred and twenty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Education Department, Government of Maharashtra.
