STANDING ORDER

To

All Fire Officers,

Subject: The execution of relief works by contractors for relief works under the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003 (Gujarat Act 20 of 2003), the Law Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the execution of relief works by contractors for relief works.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor for relief works carrying on the execution of relief works shall make an application in Form A to the National Executive Committee within one day, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Fire Officer shall ensure that hazard map is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the National Executive Committee within one day.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Gujarat.
