STANDING ORDER

To

All Electrical Inspectors,

Subject: The distribution of liquefied petroleum gas by liquefied petroleum gas distributors under the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003 (Gujarat Act 24 of 2003), the Social Welfare Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the distribution of liquefied petroleum gas by liquefied petroleum gas distributors.

2. The matter has been examined. Every liquefied petroleum gas distributor carrying on the distribution of liquefied petroleum gas shall make an application in Form II to the Appropriate Commission within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Electrical Inspector shall ensure that energy bill is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Appropriate Commission within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Gujarat.
