STANDING ORDER
To
All Revenue Inspectors,
Subject: The survey of land by licensed surveyors under the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955 (West Bengal Act 10 of 1955), the Women and Child Development Department, Government of West Bengal hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the survey of land by licensed surveyors.
2. The matter has been examined. Every licensed surveyor carrying on the survey of land shall make an application in Form 3 to the Collector within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.
3. The Revenue Inspector shall ensure that certificate of occupancy is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Collector within sixty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of West Bengal.
