STANDING ORDER

All Assessors,

Subject: The keeping of animals by keepers of animals within the municipal limits under the Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1977, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1977 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1977), the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the keeping of animals by keepers of animals within the municipal limits.

2. The matter has been examined. Every keeper of animals within the municipal limits carrying on the keeping of animals shall make an application in Form F to the Municipal Council within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand five hundred rupees.

3. The Assessor shall ensure that building is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Municipal Council within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Karnataka.
