STANDING ORDER

To

All Sub-Registrars,

Subject: The franking of instruments by franking machine licensees under the Rajasthan Stamp Act, 1999, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Stamp Act, 1999 (Rajasthan Act 14 of 1999), the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the franking of instruments by franking machine licensees.

2. The matter has been examined. Every franking machine licensee carrying on the franking of instruments shall make an application in Form B to the Stamp Revenue Board within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Sub-Registrar shall ensure that franking impression is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Stamp Revenue Board within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Rajasthan.
