STANDING ORDER

All Insecticide Inspectors,

Subject: The running of a cold storage by operators of a cold storage under the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act, 1969, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act, 1969 (Kerala Act 21 of 1969), the Agriculture Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a cold storage by operators of a cold storage.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a cold storage carrying on the running of a cold storage shall make an application in Form A to the Seed Certification Agency within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Insecticide Inspector shall ensure that licence is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Seed Certification Agency within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Agriculture Department, Government of Kerala.
