STANDING ORDER

To

All Station Fire Officers,

Subject: The construction of buildings in a vulnerable area by owners of a building in a vulnerable area under the Delhi Fire Service Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Fire Service Act, 2009 (Delhi Act 2 of 2009), the General Administration Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the construction of buildings in a vulnerable area by owners of a building in a vulnerable area.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a building in a vulnerable area carrying on the construction of buildings in a vulnerable area shall make an application in Form C to the State Executive Committee within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Station Fire Officer shall ensure that no-objection certificate is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Executive Committee within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
