STANDING ORDER

To

All Secretaries of the Gram Panchayat,

Subject: The running of a common service centre by operators of a common service centre under the Maharashtra Village Panchayats Act, 1959, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Village Panchayats Act, 1959 (Maharashtra Act 3 of 1959), the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a common service centre by operators of a common service centre.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a common service centre carrying on the running of a common service centre shall make an application in Form 2 to the Block Development Officer within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Secretary of the Gram Panchayat shall ensure that tax receipt is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Block Development Officer within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Maharashtra.
