STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistant Rent Controllers,

Subject: The maintenance of a housing complex by facility management agencies under the Karnataka Slum Areas (Improvement and Clearance) Act, 1973, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Slum Areas (Improvement and Clearance) Act, 1973 (Karnataka Act 33 of 1973), the Finance Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the maintenance of a housing complex by facility management agencies.

2. The matter has been examined. Every facility management agency carrying on the maintenance of a housing complex shall make an application in Form B to the Appellate Tribunal within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Assistant Rent Controller shall ensure that occupancy certificate is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Appellate Tribunal within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Karnataka.
