STANDING ORDER

To

All Village Accountants,

Subject: The holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land under the Bihar Land Reforms Act, 1950, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Bihar Land Reforms Act, 1950 (Bihar Act 30 of 1950), the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Bihar hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of Government land carrying on the holding of Government land on lease shall make an application in Form 5 to the State Government within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Village Accountant shall ensure that land revenue receipt is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Government within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Bihar.
