STANDING ORDER

To

All Pay and Accounts Officers,

Subject: The receipt and payment of Government moneys by treasuries under the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act, 1999, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act, 1999 (Gujarat Act 11 of 1999), the Environment Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the receipt and payment of Government moneys by treasuries.

2. The matter has been examined. Every treasury carrying on the receipt and payment of Government moneys shall make an application in Form GFR 25 to the Accountant General within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Pay and Accounts Officer shall ensure that register of contracts is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Accountant General within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of Gujarat.
