STANDING ORDER

To

All Station Staff Officers,

Subject: The entry into a defence installation by persons employed in a defence installation under the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986 (Uttar Pradesh Act 7 of 1986), the Home Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the entry into a defence installation by persons employed in a defence installation.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person employed in a defence installation carrying on the entry into a defence installation shall make an application in Form B to the Chief Executive Officer of the Cantonment within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Station Staff Officer shall ensure that licence is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Chief Executive Officer of the Cantonment within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
