STANDING ORDER
To
All Site Managers,
Subject: The operation of a ropeway by operators of a ropeway under the Kerala Tourism (Conservation and Preservation of Areas) Act, 2005, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Tourism (Conservation and Preservation of Areas) Act, 2005 (Kerala Act 8 of 2005), the Tourism Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a ropeway by operators of a ropeway.
2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a ropeway carrying on the operation of a ropeway shall make an application in Form VI to the Government of Kerala within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.
3. The Site Manager shall ensure that permission is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Kerala within forty-five days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Kerala.
