STANDING ORDER

To

All Adjutants,

Subject: The use of land for manoeuvres by occupiers of land used for manoeuvres under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders... Act, 1982, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders... Act, 1982 (Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982), the Finance Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the use of land for manoeuvres by occupiers of land used for manoeuvres.

2. The matter has been examined. Every occupier of land used for manoeuvres carrying on the use of land for manoeuvres shall make an application in Form F to the Chief Executive Officer of the Cantonment within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Adjutant shall ensure that lease deed is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Chief Executive Officer of the Cantonment within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
