New Delhi, dated the 15th November, 2012

OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The cultivation of land as a sharecropper by sharecroppers under the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on the manner in which the cultivation of land as a sharecropper by sharecroppers is to be regulated under the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954.

2. The matter has been examined. Every sharecropper carrying on the cultivation of land as a sharecropper shall make an application in Form 3 to the State Government within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the cultivation of land as a sharecropper is undertaken, and the State Government shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
