STANDING ORDER

To

All Licensing Officers,

Subject: The distribution of films by distributors of films under the Maharashtra Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1953, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1953 (Maharashtra Act 11 of 1953), the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the distribution of films by distributors of films.

2. The matter has been examined. Every distributor of films carrying on the distribution of films shall make an application in Form I to the Appellate Tribunal within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. The Licensing Officer shall ensure that print line is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Appellate Tribunal within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Maharashtra.
