OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The safety of a school building by owners of a school building under the Uttar Pradesh Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Act, 2005, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh on the manner in which the safety of a school building by owners of a school building is to be regulated under the Uttar Pradesh Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Act, 2005.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a school building carrying on the safety of a school building shall make an application in Form G to the Director of Fire Services within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the safety of a school building is undertaken, and the Director of Fire Services shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
