New Delhi, dated the 3rd September, 2012

STANDING ORDER

All Excise Superintendents,

Subject: The working of a distillery by distillers under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Excise Act, 2009 (Delhi Act 10 of 2009), the Urban Development Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the working of a distillery by distillers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every distiller carrying on the working of a distillery shall make an application in Form C to the Collector within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Excise Superintendent shall ensure that excise seal is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Collector within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Urban Development Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
