STANDING ORDER

To

All Block Development Officers,

Subject: The execution of works for a Panchayat by contractors engaged by a Panchayat under the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 (Rajasthan Act 13 of 1994), the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the execution of works for a Panchayat by contractors engaged by a Panchayat.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor engaged by a Panchayat carrying on the execution of works for a Panchayat shall make an application in Form 6 to the Gram Panchayat within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Block Development Officer shall ensure that market is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Gram Panchayat within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Rajasthan.
