STANDING ORDER
To
All Directors,
Subject: The running of a sports academy by sports academies under the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Gambling Act, 1976, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Gambling Act, 1976 (Goa Act 14 of 1976), the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Goa hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a sports academy by sports academies.
2. The matter has been examined. Every sports academy carrying on the running of a sports academy shall make an application in Form D to the National Sports Board within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.
3. The Director shall ensure that contract of an athlete is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the National Sports Board within twenty-one days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Goa.
