OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The maintenance of fire safety in a high-rise building by owners of a high-rise building under the Andhra Pradesh Fire Service Act, 1999, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Commercial Taxes Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh on the manner in which the maintenance of fire safety in a high-rise building by owners of a high-rise building is to be regulated under the Andhra Pradesh Fire Service Act, 1999.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a high-rise building carrying on the maintenance of fire safety in a high-rise building shall make an application in Form F to the District Authority within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the maintenance of fire safety in a high-rise building is undertaken, and the District Authority shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Commercial Taxes Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
