OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The sale of seeds by dealers under the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Water Resources Department, Government of Punjab on the manner in which the sale of seeds by dealers is to be regulated under the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961.

2. The matter has been examined. Every dealer carrying on the sale of seeds shall make an application in Form C to the Registrar of Co-operative Societies within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sale of seeds is undertaken, and the Registrar of Co-operative Societies shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Water Resources Department, Government of Punjab.
