STANDING ORDER

To

All Registrars of the Authority,

Subject: The letting of premises by landlords under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972 (Uttar Pradesh Act 13 of 1972), the Housing Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the letting of premises by landlords.

2. The matter has been examined. Every landlord carrying on the letting of premises shall make an application in Form B to the Housing Board within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. The Registrar of the Authority shall ensure that tenancy agreement is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Housing Board within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Housing Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
