OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The holding of a Government guarantee by guarantee holders under the Tamil Nadu Transparency in Tenders Act, 1998, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the holding of a Government guarantee by guarantee holders is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Transparency in Tenders Act, 1998.
2. The matter has been examined. Every guarantee holder carrying on the holding of a Government guarantee shall make an application in Form GFR 12-C to the Procurement Authority within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of a Government guarantee is undertaken, and the Procurement Authority shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
