STANDING ORDER
To
All Inspectors of Stamps,
Subject: The issue of bills of exchange and promissory notes by banker issuing instruments under the Rajasthan Stamp Act, 1999, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Stamp Act, 1999 (Rajasthan Act 14 of 1999), the Finance Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the issue of bills of exchange and promissory notes by banker issuing instruments.
2. The matter has been examined. Every banker issuing instruments carrying on the issue of bills of exchange and promissory notes shall make an application in Form B to the Collector within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.
3. The Inspector of Stamps shall ensure that stock of stamps is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Collector within fifteen days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Rajasthan.
