STANDING ORDER
To
All Naib Tahsildars,
Subject: The cultivation of land as tenant by tenants under the Gujarat Agricultural Lands Ceiling Act, 1961, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Agricultural Lands Ceiling Act, 1961 (Gujarat Act 27 of 1961), the Revenue Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the cultivation of land as tenant by tenants.
2. The matter has been examined. Every tenant carrying on the cultivation of land as tenant shall make an application in Form 1 to the Board of Revenue within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.
3. The Naib Tahsildar shall ensure that record of rights is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Board of Revenue within forty-five days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Gujarat.
