OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The keeping of animals by keepers of animals within the municipal limits under the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Revenue Department, Government of Gujarat on the manner in which the keeping of animals by keepers of animals within the municipal limits is to be regulated under the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976.

2. The matter has been examined. Every keeper of animals within the municipal limits carrying on the keeping of animals shall make an application in Form D to the Director of Municipal Administration within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the keeping of animals is undertaken, and the Director of Municipal Administration shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Gujarat.
