STANDING ORDER

To

All adjudicating authorities,

Subject: The clearance of goods for import or export by customs house agents under the Tamil Nadu Special Economic Zones (Special Provisions) Act, 2005, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Special Economic Zones (Special Provisions) Act, 2005 (Tamil Nadu Act 18 of 2005), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the clearance of goods for import or export by customs house agents.

2. The matter has been examined. Every customs house agent carrying on the clearance of goods for import or export shall make an application in Form ANF-3A to the Authorised Officer within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The adjudicating authority shall ensure that certificate of origin is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Authorised Officer within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
