STANDING ORDER

All Charity Commissioners,

Subject: The running of a society by societies under the Rajasthan Public Trust Act, 1959, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Public Trust Act, 1959 (Rajasthan Act 42 of 1959), the Revenue Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a society by societies.

2. The matter has been examined. Every society carrying on the running of a society shall make an application in Form B to the Commissioner of Endowments within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Charity Commissioner shall ensure that register of trusts is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Commissioner of Endowments within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Rajasthan.
