STANDING ORDER

To

All Incident Commanders,

Subject: The construction of buildings in a vulnerable area by owners of a building in a vulnerable area under the Kerala Fire Force Act, 1962, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Fire Force Act, 1962 (Kerala Act 20 of 1962), the Finance Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the construction of buildings in a vulnerable area by owners of a building in a vulnerable area.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a building in a vulnerable area carrying on the construction of buildings in a vulnerable area shall make an application in Form H to the District Authority within one day, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Incident Commander shall ensure that incident report is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Authority within one day.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Kerala.
