New Delhi, dated the 8th January, 2010

STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputies Commissioner of Excise,

Subject: The manufacture of excisable articles by manufacturers under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Excise Act, 2009 (Delhi Act 10 of 2009), the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the manufacture of excisable articles by manufacturers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every manufacturer carrying on the manufacture of excisable articles shall make an application in Form G to the Collector within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Deputy Commissioner of Excise shall ensure that excisable article is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Collector within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
