STANDING ORDER
To
All Canal Officers,
Subject: The bottling of water by bottlers of water under the Kerala Ground Water (Control and Regulation) Act, 2002, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Ground Water (Control and Regulation) Act, 2002 (Kerala Act 19 of 2002), the Water Resources Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the bottling of water by bottlers of water.
2. The matter has been examined. Every bottler of water carrying on the bottling of water shall make an application in Form G to the Tribunal within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.
3. The Canal Officer shall ensure that water course is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Tribunal within fifteen days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Water Resources Department, Government of Kerala.
