STANDING ORDER

All Ward Officers,

Subject: The running of a private market by operators of a private market under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Planning and Development Act, 1973, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Urban Planning and Development Act, 1973 (Uttar Pradesh Act 11 of 1973), the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a private market by operators of a private market.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a private market carrying on the running of a private market shall make an application in Form G to the Town Planning Authority within seven days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand five hundred rupees.

3. The Ward Officer shall ensure that notice of demolition is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Town Planning Authority within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
