OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The occupation of land by occupants under the Odisha Land Reforms Act, 1960, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Law Department, Government of Odisha on the manner in which the occupation of land by occupants is to be regulated under the Odisha Land Reforms Act, 1960.

2. The matter has been examined. Every occupant carrying on the occupation of land shall make an application in Form 12 to the State Government within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the occupation of land is undertaken, and the State Government shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Odisha.
