STANDING ORDER
To
All Ground Water Officers,
Subject: The use of water by users of water under the Kerala Ground Water (Control and Regulation) Act, 2002, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Ground Water (Control and Regulation) Act, 2002 (Kerala Act 19 of 2002), the Finance Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the use of water by users of water.
2. The matter has been examined. Every user of water carrying on the use of water shall make an application in Form E to the Tribunal within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.
3. The Ground Water Officer shall ensure that canal is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Tribunal within sixty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Kerala.
