STANDING ORDER

To

All Plant Protection Officers,

Subject: The business of a commission agent in a market by commissions agent in a market under the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act, 1969, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act, 1969 (Kerala Act 21 of 1969), the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the business of a commission agent in a market by commissions agent in a market.

2. The matter has been examined. Every commission agent in a market carrying on the business of a commission agent in a market shall make an application in Form B to the Director of Agriculture within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Plant Protection Officer shall ensure that stock register is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director of Agriculture within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Kerala.
