OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The bottling of water by bottlers of water under the Kerala Ground Water (Control and Regulation) Act, 2002, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Home Department, Government of Kerala on the manner in which the bottling of water by bottlers of water is to be regulated under the Kerala Ground Water (Control and Regulation) Act, 2002.

2. The matter has been examined. Every bottler of water carrying on the bottling of water shall make an application in Form H to the Ground Water Authority within seven days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the bottling of water is undertaken, and the Ground Water Authority shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Kerala.
