OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The grazing of cattle on Government waste land by graziers on Government waste land under the Bihar Land Reforms Act, 1950, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Bihar on the manner in which the grazing of cattle on Government waste land by graziers on Government waste land is to be regulated under the Bihar Land Reforms Act, 1950.

2. The matter has been examined. Every grazier on Government waste land carrying on the grazing of cattle on Government waste land shall make an application in Form 12 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the grazing of cattle on Government waste land is undertaken, and the Sub-Divisional Officer shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Bihar.
