OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The running of a shooting range by proprietors of a shooting range under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Home Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the running of a shooting range by proprietors of a shooting range is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937.
2. The matter has been examined. Every proprietor of a shooting range carrying on the running of a shooting range shall make an application in Form V to the District Magistrate within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a shooting range is undertaken, and the District Magistrate shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
